This week we had a seminar at church about how we can think through how to be thoroughly Christian as we engage with social media. (If you missed it, check out the Talks section.)
I mentioned at the end two separate seminars that might help you continue to think through this:
- Moore College Centre for Christian Living: Face to face or Facebook?
The evening of Monday the 20th of February at Moore College — this is the big-picture thinking evening, of more on how to think through being a Christian online, and having the gospel influence all parts of our lives. It should be a blast. - Generation Next: Kids in cyberspace
This event is during the day on Friday 16th of March, concerning the various dangers and opportunities related to protecting kids online. Should be well worth it if you can make it.
Hope they’re useful.
Sam.

Our second morning family service starts at 10.15 am for morning tea together with the 9.00 am congregation. We then start the more formal part of the meeting at 10.45 am. This service is a contemporary service oriented towards families. The early part of each service features segments for the children. The children then leave to participate in a range of programs we run for those up to junior high age.
Night Church is informal, interactive and centered on learning what the Bible says about following Jesus. We get together to help each other grow and to keep on trusting Jesus—and to give visitors a chance to find out more about him.
