Through faith in Jesus, God has promised an amazing future in the new creation … though for now, for a little while, as we follow Jesus, life won’t always be easy. We will be pushed to give answers to big questions. We will be challenged about what we believe. People we love will outright oppose us because of Jesus.

1 Peter was written to give us hope – all of this opposition from the world only lasts for a little while. The promises of God last forever! In term 4 at Fresh, we’ll be digging into 1 Peter for encouragement to stay faithful to Jesus.

For those of us who are parents, we know that a big part of our job description as Christians is to help our kids know Jesus. This means praying for them, reading the Bible with them, bringing them to church, cornerstone, the zone, fresh and so on, and talking with them about the issues and questions.

Growing Faith is an excellent Australian resource for christian parents – including a free monthly eNewsletter full of really helpful stuff.

And Growing Faith are running their second annual Families Conference.

With an all-in time, parenting electives, kids’ & youth program and family fair, this one-day event is for adults, teenagers and kids and will leave you encouraged and uplifted as you seek to raise your family for Christ.
