What We Believe

At the heart of Christianity is the conviction that God is not silent or distant. In the life of Jesus Christ he has both spoken and come close to us. In the death of Jesus, and his rising to life, God has ensured that we never need to be distant from him again. In doing so, he has revolutionised our lives, transforming both our relationship with him and with one another.

Our mission

Our mission is to be a Bible-based community being transformed by Jesus’ love, devoted to loving one another and committed to impacting the world with Christ’s love.

How is that mission becoming reality?

  • As we increasingly know and experience Jesus’ love for us, the Spirit of God is changing us to become more like him.
  • Having discovered God’s kindness and acceptance we want to demonstrate Christ’s love in action as we love and care for each other.
  • Hand in hand with that, we are increasingly committed to taking the love of Jesus to all people by our words and actions

Our part in the mission of our diocese

The initial goal of the Diocesan Mission is to see at least 10% of the population of the region of the Diocese in Bible based churches in 10 years.

The mission prayer:

Our gracious God, we pray that you will help us proclaim our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, so that everyone around us will hear his call to repent, trust and serve Christ in love, and be established in the fellowship of his disciples while we await his return. May we continue to pray, to depend on your Holy Spirit, and to glorify you. Amen.

We’re praying specifically for:

  • Spiritual Renewal
  • Multiplying of fellowships
  • Training of pastors
  • Reform of the Diocese and Churches
